Deputies Have Busy Morning With Two Separate Truck Accidents

Delays on SR 56 though out the day

Jefferson Co. Sheriff's Deputies had their hand full Wednesday morning after two truck accidents halted traffic in Hanover and near the IKE Plant.

There were no injuries to either of the drivers.

Both trucks were east on 56 when the accidents happen.

Officials say the truck near the IKE Plant dropped a wheel off the south side of the roadway and lost its load of scrap metal. The accident closed down Hanover Hill.

The accident in Hanover could of been worse as it just missed hitting Smokin’ Crowes by a matter of feet. That truck too dropped a wheel off the south side of the roadway just before the restaurant parking lot and traveled through the the outdoor sitting area before coming to a stop near Auxier Gas.

Power along with phone and other utilities were cut in the area. One lane was open while lines and poles were replaced and reopened around 5.
