Contracts to be awarded soon.
The long process toward the construction on the new Jefferson County Sheriff and Justice moved closer to a construction date.
The bonds for the project were put up for sale and the process was successful,the interest rate was less than planned which makes the annual payment less.
The paperwork is still being finalized but the expectations are that the contracts should be awarded in two weeks,because construction bids received last month were higher than expecteded a resolution was passed recently to increase the amount of the bonds
