This facility is needed to house prisoners the current jail is not in sufficent enough to provide safety for the officers and currently the county has prisoners in other facilities because of overcrowding at the current jail. The new faciltity will house 300 inmates with ground square footage of 84,779 feet. This project was first discussed in early 2017 and after a long process the faciltiy was able to begin to take shape.
