(Chicago, Ill.) - There has been a recent recall on Contigo Kids Cleanable Water Bottles due to choking hazards.

Contigo has received a total of 427 reports of the spout detaching including 27 spouts found in children’s mouths.

About 5.7 million of these water bottles have been sold nationwide and have previously been recalled in August 2019.

The recall involves Contigo Kids Cleanable water bottles and the replacement lids that were given to consumers as part of the August 2019 recall.

This recall is only for the bottles that have a black colored spout and spout base. The name Contigo is printed on the rim and along the front near the bottom of the bottle. These bottles also come in three sizes (13 ounces, 14 ounces and 20 ounces) and four colors (solid color, graphics, stainless steel, and stainless steel solid colors). They were also sold individually or in packs.

Consumers are instructed to immediately stop using the recalled bottles and replacement lids which were provided in the previous recall, and contact Contigo for a free water bottle. Consumers who have received placement lids should contact Contigo for a new water bottle.
