Construction of Crystal Beach Pool Completion Pushed Out Another Year

Cost Saving Changes will be less then original cost estimate

Madison's Board of Public Works approved a negotiated contract for construction of the new Crystal Beach Pool that will cost about $750,000 dollars less than the company's original bid on the project. The cost saving order change will delay the construction timeline which will now push back the original target date for later this summer now the plan is to have construction completed by May 1, 2024.

The splash pad to the lazy river to the diving platform and slides will not be affected but will implement a simplified process for reinforcing concrete and a different filtration system.

The pool will still provide all the amenities that have been presented to the community.

The process for reinforcing the concrete was simplified resulting in costs savings.
