The investigation began in December 2017
Yesterday, Indiana State Police Detectives arrested a Commiskey man on two charges of sexual misconduct with a minor after a four month investigation.
The investigation by Detective Chris Howell began in December 2017 when Indiana State Police Detectives were contacted after allegations of sexual misconduct were reported. The investigation determined that between August 2017 and December 2017, William M. Hardin, age 43, Commiskey, Indiana, allegedly sexually abused a female juvenile while she was 14 and 15 years old at Hardin’s residence near Commiskey in Jefferson County, Indiana.
At the conclusion of the investigation, the case was presented to the Jefferson County Prosecutor’s Office. As a result, the Jefferson County Circuit Court issued an arrest warrant on April 9th for William Hardin on one charge of sexual misconduct with a minor, level 4 felony, and one count of sexual misconduct with a minor, level 5 felony.
Hardin was arrested around noon yesterday without incident. He was transported to the Jefferson County Jail where he was incarcerated, pending his initial court appearance in the Jefferson County Circuit Court.
