Scott County-The Scott County Fair is in Full Swing and Sheriff Goodin wants everyone to stop by the sheriff's office tent located on the main entrance road next to the race track and grandstands.

This year's sheriff's office tent will be exciting, informational and fun. Members of the sheriff's office will be at the tent every day from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM to give balloons, DNA kits for kids, wrist bands, candy and kids can get their picture taken in a deputy sheriff's uniform cutout or at the jail cell that will be on hand. We will also be launching our "Operation Security Blanket" where senior citizens can be signed up to be checked on their safety on a regular basis.

Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:00 PM the sheriff's office will give demonstrations of our drone, bomb robot and other equipment.

Sheriff Goodin will be at the tent from 5:00 PM till 9:00 PM Tuesday thru Saturday to answer questions, explain policies and to say hello.

Sheriff's Reserves and Posse members will be selling raffle tickets to win the Scott County 200th Anniversary Henry, lever action 22 caliber rifle, sheriff's patch, badge and sticker. There are only two of these guns in existence with one gun being donated to the Scott County Heritage Museum and this raffle being the second one.

There will be other things happening at the tent nightly that you will just have to stop by and see.
