City of Madison Water Department Announces New Boil Water Advisory, Lifted Boil Water Advisory

The Water Department apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause/have caused.

(Madison, Ind.) - Due to a water main break Thursday morning, August 13, on Hatcher Hill. The City of Madison Water Dept. has issued a boil water advisory for the affected areas for at least 24 hours.

The areas affected are as follows; Hatcher Hill, Sunrise Drive, Cobblestone Way, Clubhouse Drive, Fairway Drive, Ridgewood Drive, Valley Vista Court, Hycliff Court, Hillview Court, Dale Court, and Falls Blvd.

Those who experience low to no water pressure are advised to boil water intended for consumption over the next 24 hours. Water used for consumption must be boiled for 3 to 5 minutes.

For dishwashing in private residences, a few drops of bleach per gallon of water will also provide adequate disinfection.

 

Lifted Boil Advisory

The City of Madison Water Dept. has lifted the Boil Water Advisory for the customers that experienced low to no water pressure in the following areas: Michigan Road from Hutchinson Lane to and including Madison Mobile Home Village.

Water is now safe for consumption.
