City of Madison Utilities To Begin Suspending Services

Disconnects for downtown will be on August 26, and hilltop disconnections will be on September 16. 

(Madison, Ind) - A few months ago, Governor Eric Holcomb stated that all utility companies will suspend disconnects until Friday, August 14.

With the date passed, Brian Jackson, City of Madison Utility Manager, announced during Monday's Board of Public Works meeting that the City will begin enforcing disconnects. 

Disconnects for downtown will be on August 26, and hilltop disconnections will be on September 16. 

Information regarding disconnects was sent out with the July bills, if you are to be disconnected all reconnection fees will be waived. 

Once reconnected, customers will be expected to pay the full amount or break it into two payments depending on how much is owed.
