City Of Madison Fire Units Make Two Runs On Sunday

Hope you remembered to check smoke detectors when you changed your clock

Sunday the City of Madison Fire Departments made two runs in the city.

At approximately 12:05 pm Madison Fire Department responded to 501 Clifty Dr., the First Financial Bank location, for a possible electrical fire. Crews arrived on scene and checked the building to find light ballast had shorted out.

Then at approximately 3:00 pm Madison Fire Department responded to 1620 Washington street for possible gas leak. Crews check the house and found a small leak. Vectren was contacted for repair.

Madison Fire Officials hope everyone checked their smoke detectors when they change their clocks back Sunday morning.

Madison Fire Department installed smoke detectors in 20 homes on Saturday. If you would like to have smoke detectors or carbon monoxide detector installed please contact us.
