$66,200 awarded to nonprofit organizations responding to the Jefferson County COVID-19 pandemic.

(Madison, Ind.) - The Community Foundation of Madison and Jefferson County’s (CFMJC) Rapid Response Grant Program awarded $66,200 to nonprofit organizations serving the residents of Jefferson County, Indiana. This grant program was designed to address the immediate needs of nonprofit organizations in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and funded by the Disaster Relief Fund at the Community Foundation. Grants provided care packages, personal protection equipment (PPE), rent assistance, and covered the basic needs of Jefferson County residents, to name a few.
“We are incredibly grateful to all who donated to the Disaster Relief Fund during these unprecedented economic times,” said CFMJC President & CEO Bill Barnes. “We’d especially like to thank First Financial Foundation for being a major supporter of our Rapid Response Grant Program with their $15,000 gift.”
