Carrollton Mayor Robb Adams Address Food Pantry, Park Closures, and Positive Coronavirus Case

At this time this is the only confirmed positive case in Carroll County.

(Carrollton, KY.) - Mayor of Carrollton Robb Adams took to Facebook Live yesterday to give a few messages to the residents of Carrollton. 

The city announced yesterday that all the parks in the City of Carrollton have been closed until further notice, this also includes any vehicular traffic and all activities including the use of any facilities or amenities at Point Park as well as Welty park. 

"If you wish to launch a boat, you must use the fifth street entrance," said Adams. "At Point park, you can either enter the Riverwalk from the campground or fifth street, you can walk to enjoy the weather, but there will be no stopping and congregating as that is the whole reason we closed the parks."  

Mayor Adams also commented on the food bank stating that they are running low on some times and it would be appreciated for any donation. 

The items that the food pantry is needing most are Oats 12 oz containers, Cereal 12 lb boxes, Saltine crackers, Mixed vegetables regular small cans, Grape jelly 18 oz, Cans of mixed fruit, Tuna 5 oz cans, Small packs of cookies. 

"If you do wish to donate you can drop off the items at City Hall in the front hallway, " stated Adams. 

The last item that Mayor Adams addressed the city about was the confirmation of one positive case of the coronavirus in Carroll County. 

He stated that he was contacted by the health department earlier yesterday with the confirmation. 

"We are not going to release the individual's name because there is no need for that," said Adams. "We will, however, let you know that this individual is in quarantine, and the health department is investigating where that person has been, and if you are believed to have been affected you will be contacted."

At this time this is the only confirmed positive case in Carroll County.
