Carroll County Library Offering Services To Residents

These services include making copies, faxing hard copies, WiFi usage, and book pick-up and drop-offs.

(Carroll County, Ky.) - While the libraries are closed to the public at this time due to the coronavirus. 

The Carroll County Public Library is letting residents know that they are still open for many of the services that they offer. These services include making copies, faxing hard copies, WiFi usage, and book pick-up and drop-offs. 

Library Director, Hillary Arney, would like all residents to know that the staff is washing their hands before pulling items and wiping down all items pulled with the CDC recommended alcohol solution. The library is working as hard as possible to make sure they are following CDC guidelines with social distancing, and sanitation. 

The library can also make copies for you, all you need to do is email them the items that you need to be printed this service is free of charge. You can also email the library all documents that you need to be faxed, all you need to do is give them all the important information about where you need to send it, who it is for, who it is from, etc., faxing is free of charge as well. 

You can also connect your device to the WiFi from the parking lot anytime between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to midnight. 

Items can be reserved over the phone or online, you can now check out up to 10 DVDs, but they library will not be checking out video games at this time, items will be checked out in your name and placed into a bag for pick up. There will be directions posted on the door of the library to follow in order to receive your items. 

You must have your ID to pick up your items. 

You can also enjoy eBooks and audiobooks from the comfort of your home using a web browser or by using the Libby or Overdrive app on your mobile device, just by signing in with your library card. Cellphone numbers can be used for temporary access.

The library is also working on creating more online content, but for now is hosting quarantine BINGO, CCPL's 2020 Reading Challenge, and Facebook Live Story Times, Tuesday at 10:00 a.m., all of these things can be found on the Carrollton Public Library Facebook page.
