(Scott County, Ind.) - On May 1, 2020, Deputy Zach Brown observed a motorcycle driving erratically. Deputy Brown initiated a traffic stop and identified the driver as Sean Bowers, age 25, of Scottsburg. Bowers became belligerent with Deputy Brown and would not comply. Bowers was arrested and charged with RESISTING LAW ENFORCEMENT, RECKLESS DRIVING, and VIOLATION OF GOVERNMENT ORDER.
On May 1, 2020, Deputy Johnney Coomer initiated a traffic stop on County Line Road and US Highway 31. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Kristin Cahall, age 21, of Scottsburg. Cahall refused to stop and began driving at a high rate of speed and passing vehicles on the roadway in a reckless manner. Deputies were able to get Cahall stopped and she was arrested for RESISTING LAW ENFORCEMENT - USES VEHICLE OR DRAWS OR USES DEADLY WEAPON, DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED, and RECKLESS DRIVING.
On May 1, 2020, Deputy Skylar Thompson and Deputy Johnney Coomer initiated a traffic stop. Deputies activated their emergency equipment. The driver, identified as James Bowyer, age 38, of Marysville, refused to stop. Bowyer eventually came to a stop and was arrested for RESISTING LAW ENFORCEMENT - USES VEHICLE OR DRAWS OR USES DEADLY WEAPON, DRIVING WHILE SUSPENDED, and OUT OF COUNTY WARRANT.
On May 3, 2020 Deputies Johnney Coomer and Skylar Thompson responded to an altercation on Sanders Road. Upon arrival, deputies made contact with multiple people including Stephen Kronenburg, age 24, of Dupont and Samantha Kronenburg, age 23, of Dupont. During the course of the investigation, deputies discovered Stephen Kronenburg had sold his motorcycle to another individual. Kronenburg then attempted to take possession of the motorcycle back. The new owner confronted Kronenburg when Samantha Kronenburg displayed a firearm and fired shots. Stephen Kronenburg was arrested and charged with AUTO THEFT and CRIMINAL TRESPASSING. Samantha Kronenburg was arrested and charged with CRIMINAL RECKLESSNESS - WHILE ARMED WITH A DEADLY WEAPON, INTIMIDATION, and CARRYING HANDGUN WITHOUT PERMIT.
