Burn Ban Lifted in Jefferson County

Significant Rainfall has helped the area

The National Weather Service and NOAA Climate Prediction Center have predicted near normal conditions in Jefferson County.

In consultation with County, City, and Town Fire Chiefs the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners has rescinded the burn ban under IC 10-14-3-29 on September 29th, 2024, due to sufficient rainfall that has returned conditions to near normal.  On behalf of our Commissioners and First Responders thank you for your cooperation.
