Bill Would Require 'In God We Trust' Be Displayed In Kentucky Schools

Similar law went into effect in Tennessee

A Kentucky lawmaker is pre-filing a bill that would require all schools to display "In God We Trust" in a prominent area.

The bill defines "a prominent area" as an entryway, cafeteria or common area where America's national motto is likely to be seen.

State Representative Brandon Reed, who is also a minister in LaRue County, filed the bill.

A similar law went into effect in Tennessee earlier this year.
