Asphalt resurface projects to begin March 20 in Switzerland County
SWITZERLAND COUNTY, Ind.— Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Dave O'Mara Contractor Inc. plans to begin work next week on a $7 million asphalt resurface contract in Switzerland County.
Beginning on or after Monday, March 20 motorists should anticipate lane closures beginning on S.R. 250 between Pleasant and Patriot. The project will be completed under flagging operations as crews work to complete asphalt patching, milling and paving.
Asphalt resurface work is also planned on S.R. 156, from 0.13 to 1.8 miles west of Markland Dam near Florence.
The contract was awarded to Dave O'Mara in December 2022 and is expected to be complete this fall. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
