Armed Subject on the Loose in Clark County

The male is considered armed and dangerous

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Leon Prall Rd., Otisco, Indiana, on March 6, 2022, at approximately 8:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a subject who had been shot.

It was later determined that Billy Middleton, 47 years of age, had allegedly shot a female victim in the leg several times after a verbal altercation. Middleton fled the scene on foot prior to officers arrival. Middleton was last seen wearing a camouflage t-shirt, camouflage hat, and blue jeans and currently has a beard.

Middleton is believed to be in possession of a firearm. He is considered to be a threat and should not be approached.

Officers have been on scene since the incident. Detectives are searching the immediate area and are currently using drone technology with the assistance of the Clark County Emergency Management Agency due to the rough terrain of the area.

If located, DO NOT APPROACH MIDDLETON and contact 911 immediately.

The victim is currently being treated at a medical facility and is in stable condition.

Updates will be given as we continue to locate Middleton.
