Six Others Recently Arrested on Various Charges
Scott County-Around 8:30 am this morning, Deputies from the Scott County Sheriff's Office "ERT" team conducted a search warrant at 1217 Clay Street in Austin. The search warrant was received after an investigation by Lieutenant John Hartman and a review from the Scott County Prosecutor's Office.
During the search deputies located approximately a half of an ounce of Methamphetamine. The following people were arrested and incarcerated at the Scott County Jail. People and charges are in order of photos from left to right. Timothy Harlow, 34, from Vevay, IN was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine, Visiting a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana/Hash Oil/Hashish or Salvia. Joe Brooks, 34 from Austin, IN was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana/Hash Oil/Hashish or Salvia. James Barger, 56 from Austin, IN was arrested for Dealing in Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana/Hash Oil/Hashish or Salvia.

On October 1, 2021, deputy William Morris and First Sergeant Johnney Coomer arrested Destiny Hodge, 21 from Crothersville, IN for Escape - Flees from Lawful Detention and Possession of Methamphetamine after a traffic stop in Scottsburg.

On October 2, 2021, in the afternoon hours deputy Josh Juliot arrested William Smith, 64 from Scottsburg, IN for Domestic Battery and Criminal Recklessness.

On October 3, 2021, deputy William Morris and First Sergeant Johnney Coomer arrested William Cureton, 50 from Charlestown, IN on an Out of County Warrant after being checked as a suspicious person at an abandoned home in the Lexington area.

On October 4, 2021, reserve deputy Darrell Cochran and First Sergeant Charlie Morgan arrested Don Strong, 59 from Lexington, IN after a warrant was issued for his arrest on the charges of Failure to Appear and Escape- Flees from Lawful Detention.
