Jefferson County has now seen a decrease in unemployment numbers for five months now.
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has released the unemployment numbers by county for the month of October.
Jefferson County has now seen a decrease in unemployment numbers for five months now.
In the month of October, Jefferson County’s unemployment rate stood at 4.3 percent, which is a .8 percent decrease from the month of September.
Out of all of Indiana’s 92 counties, Jefferson County was ranked 32nd for unemployment percentage, remaining lower than that of the state at 4.8 percent.
As for neighboring counties, Switzerland County was ranked 11th with 4.2 percent, Scott County was ranked 14th with 5.1 percent, Jennings County was ranked 25th with 4.5 percent, Ripley County was ranked 60th with 3.8 percent.
All counties saw a decrease in unemployment percentage.
