Jefferson County, Indiana (February 2, 2022) - Jefferson County Prosecutor David R. Sutter announced a Madison man has been sentenced to 20 years, to be fully executed, to the Indiana Dept. of Correction on a methamphetamine charge. Michael “Mike” D. He was sentenced Feb. 1, 2022, in Jefferson Circuit Court. “Every time we can remove a drug dealer from our streets it puts a dent into drug activity,” said Prosecutor Sutter. “I commend our law enforcement community for their tireless efforts to bring drug dealers to justice.” According to the probable cause affidavit, Walker’s current conviction resulted from drug activity in October 2020. Walker was arrested after dealing methamphetamine from his Lincoln Street apartment. The crime was committed less than 500 feet from an elementary school.
