(Jefferson County, Ind.) – The Indiana Department of Transportation contractor MAC Construction plans to begin work on or after Monday, April 12.
Crews will be patching, milling, and repaving two sections of State Road 62 in Jefferson County.
Crews will begin with patching between the east junction of State Road 56, east of Hanover, and the bridge over Big Clifty Creek near Clifty Falls State Park. Daytime closures will be in place while work is in progress.
Later this spring, crews will move to the second section of State Road 62 from U.S. 421 to the west junction of State Road 250.
The $3 million contract was awarded in July 2020 and is expected to be complete by August 31, 2021. Motorists are reminded to slow down, use extra caution, and drive distraction-free in and near all work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
