Three of four convicted are free the fourth will be released later this year
It was 27 years ago yesterday that four women brutally killed 12-year-old Shanda Sharer in Northern Jefferson County.
One of the four is still in prison but is scheduled to be released later this year.
Toni Lawrence, Hope Rippey, Mary 'Laurie' Tackett and Melinda Loveless were all convicted of the slaying.
Lawrence was released in 2000. Rippey in 2006 and Tackett just last January.
Loveless remains in prison with a scheduled release in September.
