The Golden Hoosier Award is the highest honor bestowed on a senior in Indiana.
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Do you know any outstanding Senior Citizen that has been devoted to making the community better?
Nominations are now open for the 2021 Golden Hoosier Award are now being accepted by the Indiana Family and Social Services Administration’s Department of Aging and Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch.
This award began in 2008 and has been awarded annually to Honor Hoosier citizens for their lifetime of service and commitment to their communities.
"Despite all the challenges we faced as a state over the past year, we still had numerous Hoosiers who were going above and beyond to better their communities,” Crouch says.
Indiana residents who are 65 and older who have volunteered in the community for the past 3 years are eligible for the Golden Hoosier Award.
Applications are due by Saturday, June 19.
