(Clark County, Ind.) - On Thursday, June 4 the Clark County 4-H Corporation Board met virtually to discuss and evaluate the outlook of the 2020 fair.

"After much consideration from the livestock committees, meetings with the local health department, and the review of Purdue University Guidelines the board has decided to move forward with an extensive virtual fair experience," said the corporation board.

The board will make live training available for families of each specie and static projects to learn how to be successful with the virtual fair settings. Alongside the virtual event, there will be no carnival, special events, fair vendors, or non-4-H events.

"These decisions were made to help with COVID-19 guidelines and ensuring the safety of our families," stated the board.

This year's event will also include a virtual auction, you must exhibit the animal you plan to auction in the virtual fair. All projects will be judged and placed just like an in-person event with the same award provided to youth for both static and livestock as in the years past.

Specific details regarding livestock auction, schedules, Fair Entry, and more will be put together soon and shared with 4-H families and volunteers.

If you have any questions, you can contact the Clark County Extension Office at (812)256-4591 or kcarunch@purdue.edu.
