12 arrests during Narcotics roundup throughout Scott County

On Saturday

On Saturday November 3, 2018 the Scott County Sheriff’s Office, Scottsburg City Police, and the Austin City Police conducted 2 operations during a Narcotics roundup throughout Scott County. The larger investigation consisted of a Search Warrant that was obtained through Clark County with the cooperation Clark County Sheriff Jamey Noel on an investigation led by the Detective Steve Herald with the Scottsburg City Police. This search warrant was served at the residence of Christopher Hammill of Lexington, IN located on Hwy 362 in Clark County. The Search Warrant resulted in just over 5 ounces of Methamphetamine, almost 1 pound of marijuana and over $350 in cash. 4 individuals were arrested during the Search warrant they are Chris Hammill, Brooks Hammill, Kristen Hunt, and Tonya Rosenbarger all 4 individuals where transported to the Clark County Jail.

The warrant roundup of the operation was a culmination of the agencies detectives from over the last several months that resulted in 8 Drug dealers where taken off the streets in Scott County and 2 individuals who were already incarcerated where served additional warrants of dealing drugs.

In Total the multi agency operation had a total of 12 arrests and 2 warrants served on previously incarcerated individuals.

In a joint statement from Sheriff Kenny Hughbanks, Chief Scott Zellers, Chief Robert Gudgel, and Prosecutor Chris Owens

"We just want the the citizens of Scott County know we will continue to work at reducing the drug epidemic in Scott County through the cooperation of our local agencies."
