Open House for former campers staff and community members
More Information (95.3 WIKI is not responsible for external websites)
Friends of Camp Louis Ernst will be hosting the 3rd Annual Open House, “Campfire 2025” at the historic former scout camp, Camp Louis Ernst, near Dupont on April 26th.
With nearly a century of rich history, Camp Ernst has served as a camp and retreat for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and other youth serving organizations. To save this wonderful piece of local history for the youth of today and tomorrow, Friends of Camp Louis Ernst obtained ownership of the camp in February of 2023. Within that time much work to update, improve, and restore Camp Louis Ernst has taken place.
We would like to invite any former staff, campers, scout alumni, and anyone interested from the community to see first hand the improvements we have made. Historical memorabilia displays, camp tours, and many other activities will take place throughout the day. Alumni and guests may join us for lunch at 11:30, and an alumni dinner will take place at 5pm.
Visitors and alumni are welcome to visit anytime between 8am and 10pm and stay for as long as they are available. This event and meals are free of charge, though donations are always welcome.
We look forward to reconnecting, and sharing among other things our newly remodeled dining hall. Additional information can be found at camplouisernst.com or facebook.com/camplouisernst. So we can plan for meals, please rsvp on the facebook page or email at friendsofcamplouisernst@gmail.com
