Weekday Service Only From Carroll Co. Sheriff’s Department, Till Further Notice

Posted On April 21, 2017

According to the News Democrat, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office is limiting their calls to daytime hours only. Sheriff Philip Marshall said deputies will respond to calls between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday as they can, when other duties such as court, taxes or serving papers don’t have them tied up. Calls outside of those hours will be handled by Kentucky State Police. The department currently has only one full-time and one part-time deputy who can answer calls and work cases. Sheriff Marshall said providing 24/7 coverage to the county is impractical at this time. He is also ending the practice of deputies being on call 24 hours a day for the time being.
