Shawe Makes IHSAA Basketball History. Goodwin Gets First Win

Shawe and Indianapolis Manuel made IHSAA history last night with the earliest played regular season game in history. The 2017-18 local and state high school basketball season tipped off as the Shawe Lady Hilltoppers picked up a 60-45 win against Indianapolis Manual in the Henryville Tournament. Kate Grote with 27, and Megan Hesse with 23 to lead the Lady Toppers. It was also the first career head coaching victory for first year coach Zack Goodwin. Shawe travels to West Washington on Thursday for game two.


Tonight the Southwestern Lady Rebels open the season with a varsity only game at Crothersville as part of the Henryville Tournament starting at 7pm.


Madison opens their season on Saturday at home against Charlestown.
