Rebels Win First Sectional Title In 20 Years. Panthers Fall In NCAA Tournament

Southwestern won their first sectional title since 1998 and set a new record for wins in a season on Saturday after the Rebels defeated Switzerland Co. 53-44. Tyler Kramer led Southwestern with 29 points and was named the MVP of the tournament. It was also their 24 win of the season breaking the old record of 23 set twice during the 72-73 and 73-74 seasons. Rebels now take on Austin on Saturday in game #1 at 10 at the Paoli Regional.

Austin [15-11] vs. Southwestern (Hanover) [24-2]
Forest Park [22-4] vs. South Knox [17-9]

Southwestern met the Eagles in the second game of the season and won 55-47. If the Rebels win they will play for their first regional title since 1998 against either 12th ranked Forest Park or South Knox.


The Hanover College men’s basketball season came to an end Friday night as the Panthers fell 85-77 to LeTourneau (Texas) in the NCAA Division III National Tournament Opening Round., Cam Fails hit 30 points to lead Hanover who ends at 22-7 on the season.
