KSP investigating shooting death of a women in Bedford, Ky. at doctor’s office; shooter arrested

Police received a call from a citizen in Trimble County advising that they were with Riddle on Sulphur-Bedford Road in Trimble County, saying they were with him in a field a short way off from the road, it’s not clear if the citizen initially knew what Riddle was accused of doing. Police said Riddle did not put up a fight when he was arrested around 6:30 Tuesday night.


A person was shot at a doctor’s office Tuesday in Trimble County.

The incident was reported to KSP at 11:43 a.m., according to Trooper Joshua Lawson.

According to Kentucky State Police, the victim was shot at First You Medical Center at 18 Alexander Avenue, which is off Highway 42 just SW of Bedford.

Lawson said one person, a woman, died as a result of the shooting. Kentucky State Police said the victim was identified as Lora Cable, 36, . Cable was a receptionist at the doctor’s office.

Authorities are searching every road leading out of Bedford for the shooter.


The suspect is Timothy Riddle, 45. Officials said he may be driving a 2002 tan Mazda Protege.

Friends of the victim said she had a romantic relationship with the alleged shooter and she had recently started dating someone new.

Trimble Co School were put on lock down after the shooting.


It's a shame a young lady lost her life because of a man. She did not deserve what happen. I pray they find the shooter. He deserves the death penalty. My prayers goes out the the family of the victim.
