Area Sports Results From Wednesday, January 10th
In her first start of the season, senior Allison Nash came through in a big way with a career-high 29 points to become only the 13th player in Hanover women’s basketball history to record 1,000 career-points in an 86-75 win over Earlham. In addition to her career-point milestone, and her single-game career-high, Nash also became only the seventh player in program history to record at least 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in a career as she grabbed her 500th rebound in the team’s game Saturday at Manchester.
The Hanover men’s basketball team jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, cruising to a 90-54 home victory over Earlham in HCAC action. Senior Wes McKinney finished with a team high 22 in the game. McKinney’s point total Wednesday moved him into 12th on the program’s all-time scoring list at 1,406.
