The Louisville women’s basketball team is celebrating its first-ever number-one seed in the NCAA tournament. The Cards will play 16th-seeded Boise State on Friday at the KFC Yum! Center. With a win, the team would play a second-round game against Dayton or Marquette at home on Sunday.
The Louisville men’s basketball team will play in the NIT and will be in action tonight at home against Northern Kentucky University. Norte Dame also will play in the NIT hosting Hampton also tonight.
Kinna Laymon scored a career high 7 goals as the women’s lacrosse team knocked off Mt. St. Joseph 12-5. Panthers are now 3-2 on the season and 2-0 in the Ohio River Lacrosse Conference.
For the second consecutive year, the Hanover men’s basketball team received a first team all-district selection from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC), this time the award going to junior Cam Fails. The 2017-18 Heartland Colligate Athletic Conference Player of the Year was the lone player from the HCAC and the state of Indiana to receive the honor this season.
