The Miss HomeStreet Miss Madison Team is saddened by the sudden loss of our beloved Crew Chief Dan Hoover. A longtime member of the boat racing family, Dan will be dearly missed.
Hoover became crew chief in May of 2016 after Larry Hanson resigned. He had spent two years prior working in nearly every capacity for the team.
Hoover worked for several race teams before joining the Miss Madison team, including a stint as crew chief with the U-10 USA Racing Partners 10 years ago.
In 2013, he started working for Ted Porter’s U-5 Graham Trucking and it was there that he met driver Jimmy Shane. When Shane was hired by Miss Madison Racing in 2014, he brought Hoover with him to the team.
